My passion is sustainable development and my focus is on the energy transition

We are living in ‘the climate decade’. What we do between now and 2030 will determine the future of mankind. So we need to get this right! That is why I named the company 2degNRG (“2 degrees energy”). The Paris Agreement puts a global rise in temperature of 2 degrees Celsius as the absolute threshold the world should not exceed. Energy is crucial in achieving this and I want to dedicate my energy to that goal.

My goal is to use my experience and capacities to deal with climate change. My experience as an energy regulator for almost 20 years, combined with my experience in stakeholder management and communication, make me an energy strategist. My ambition is to assist companies, organisations and public bodies with setting up and implementing sustainability programs, especially in energy and mobility.

I am not a consultant, I am an expert who provides advice. And if I cannot answer your question myself, I know where to find it from another expert.

What do I stand for?

Sustainability is in my DNA. My passion for renewable energy and sustainable mobility is fueled by extensive experience in energy regulation, including at European level and of energy markets. Communication and stakeholder engagement are finely honed skills through years of hands-on experience. A specific field of expertise I cover is Energy Attribute Certificates, such as Guarantees of Origin and I-RECs.

Showing leadership

Taking action on climate change and sustainability is showing leadership. But in order to be able to exhibit leadership towards complex problems, you need trust and expertise. That is where my experience and knowledge can make a difference. The AIB is the umbrella organisation of the issuing bodies mandated to issue and manage Guarantees of Origin. It was my goal to make the AIB better known in Europe and support its mission to guarantee the origin of European energy. The AIB currently has members in 26 countries.
